Upcoming retreat

For those of you who don't know, there is a spring "Bible in Life" retreat happening the first weekend in March. We're all pretty busy (even then) so all volleypong will likely have to be suspended until the retreat. But there definitely is a table at Camp Arnes, so the likelihood is pretty high...

Guaranteed Volleypong

This time it's guaranteed. There will be volleypong going on.

Thursday night in the Bulman Center, we will be playing volleypong during the informal games part of the Potluck/Worship/Fellowship night.

For those interested, the potluck starts at 6pm... bring plates and utensils to save the environment.

Worship (sort of a chapel service) starts at 7pm.

Games start at 8pm.

OK, for anyone who might actually read this, if you want to play (or want to see the game being played) come on down to the Interfaith Room at the University of Winnipeg this Thursday, January 13, between 1pm and 1:30. From there, we'll try to find space in the Bulman Centre to start up a game.

If it doesn't work, then come next week.

But there will be games... eventually.

Treasured Foundation

Well, I didn't get to play volleypong too terribly much at the international gathering of Mennonite youths, but people did get to hear about it... and five people did play. And they admitted that it would be fun if we weren't all so tired and if they could practice it a little more.

Onward we go.

Christmas Banquet Clarification

OK, there was some question as to whether or not the rules covered hitting the ball if it hasn't touched the table... so I refer you to rule 4.03(j) which says:

It is a foul if the ball is hit before the start of a possession while it is still over the table and does not immediately come in contact with the table.

So it's only a problem if you hit it before it clears the table and it doesn't hit the table right away.

Unless we want to change that...

Itching to play

I don't know if I can take this anymore. I have to get some volleypong in. Somehow. Somewhere.

Maybe I can convince the phys ed teachers in Winkler to let me teach some students how to play.

Or something.
